The number of singles is rising continously. Presently there are more people living alone than one would like to imagine. According to the "Mikrozensus 2005" brought out by the German Federal Statistics Office 18% of all men and 26% of all women in Germany are single. In Munich, a city with 1.3 million inhabitants the ratio of one-person households is at 54%. When looking accross the border to Switzerland this development becomes even clearer: while in 1960 14% of the people where single, the percentage was 36% in 2005, even exceeding 50% in the cities.

Members of the Newapostolic Church like to look for a boyfriend or girlfriend, a life partner, amongst their own peers. Getting in touch may however prove difiicult even when living only a few kilometers apart, due to necessary district limits.

About our origin
In the springtime of 2000 active members of the chruch asked themselves how one could get in touch with other singles inspite of the district limits. The internet turned out to be the ideal medium. It offers inexpensive use, broad access possibilities and short reaction times. Accordingly a professional programming office was assigned the development of the contact platform nak-sinlges. The site has been active on the internet since 2001 now.

Due to no longer sufficient technical capacities a complete reprogramming by internationally active information scientists followed in 2008. The site is available in English for the first time, allowing its members to get in touch with people in e.g. South Africa, USA, Canada, and Great Britain.

A contact platform lives on contact. There is no point in signing up and waiting. It takes one's own initiative. Once you have found an interesting profile it is on you to work up the courage to send a message. There is nothing to lose, but you might win a nice contact or even the partner of your life.
